18-05-2012: The total amout we collected with the "Under African Skies" action was € 877,00. Thanks to Juliette Pieters, Roel van Bennekom and all the people who donated in this specific action. A special thank you, to all the theeaters in the Netherlands who participated. It was a fantastic show!
15-05-2012: As of today there is a shop-window of the Bookstore Hurkmans store in the center of Grave completely equipped to the Walk of the Dogs event. This event is organised bij Hockeyclub Grave, Hiking club DEW and the Fahari Foundation. 13-05-2012: The cooperation with Under Africa Skies turned out very good. The last tickets we had are sold out. We could do this thanks to Juliette Pieters from the impresario of the show. With the money that we have collected, we will pay the breakfast program for the children of Mtwapa partially. Thanks to Juliette!
30-04-2012: In one word: FANTASTIC!!! That is the only word we can use for what we achieved today. Thanks to all the entrapreneurs who donated all the prices, and all the buyers in the lottery, we collected the total amount of € 900,33! Thanks to everybody who helped us today. At 15:00 hrs we handed out the last price.
27-04-2012: Recently there was a offertory in the Roman Catholic Church in Houten. The result of the offertory was € 258,92! Thanks on behalf of the children of Mtwapa.
16-04-2012: We received some pictures out of Mtwapa where it is clearly seen that they have started to plant some plants in the vetgetable garden. This vetgetable garden is constructed by the students from the Liemers College.
16-04-2012: Today we received the money (€533,16) from the runners of the "Klap tot Klap loop 2012". Together with the money (€174,25) the 8 girls collected with a collection in the center of Stadskanaal, the total amount of €707,41 will be used for the Fahari Foundation Center. On behalf of the children in Mtwapa: Thank you very much.
13-04-2012: This day was an exciting day for thousands of people who would like to participate in de Walk of the World 2012 in Nijmegen. Today they heard that they were chosen to participate this year. That means that it is also an exciting day for the Fahari Foundation because some of those people choosed to walk for the Foundation. So they can be financialy sponsored and the money they collect will be given to the Fahari Foundation in benefit of the children of Mtwapa. Thanks!!!
12-04-2012: A memorable day today. As of 8:30 pm the official website of the Walk of the Dogs was launched. (www.walkofthedogs.nl) This new event will be organised every year. With this event we will try to collect enough money to pay the breakfast program for the children of Mtwapa. During the information evening about this event, the vice president of the hockeyclub (Joop Pleur) explained that every day (16th till 19th july 2012) their club will be the start and the finish of this event. After that it became exciting because the website (created bij Christen Leenders and Thimothy Sterk) was put online. The president of the walking club Grave (Tom Alders) explained the daily 6 km routes and after an introduction of the Fahari Foundation, Coby Peters (Pet's Place) told everybody about the sponsors of this event. At the end of the fourth day, every dog will receive a leather medal and a goodiebag. You can register yourself as a participant of this unique event (see the website). The first 25 participants will get a free photoshoot of their dog (sponsored bij the photographer Thomas Schouten). We also like to thank the initiator of the Walk of the Dogs, Mirjam Schouten, for everything she does!!! So, register, join the other walkers with their dogs and doing so, help the children of Mtwapa!
09-04-2012: Today was again a beautiful day (despite of the weather) for the children in Mtwapa. In the town of Stadskanaal 1500 runners run the "Klap tot Klaploop". Among them were 11 runners who run the 10 km for the Fahari Foundation. During this running event was a life report on the local radio where Roel van Bennekom gave an interview. In the center of the town were 8 girls who collected money for the children in Mtwapa. The total amount of the money that was collected bij the girls en the runners will be official at the end of the week because of the fact that not all the money, promised bij sponsors, is on our account. On behalf of the children in Mtwapa we want to thank everybody in Stadskanaal for their effort!!!

07-04-2012: Thanks to Els, Karin, Stephanie, Simone and Patricia it was a great day for the Fahari Foundation. During our Easter activity in the COOP store in Zevenaar (a lottery, a grab bag and a make up for children) we collected a super amount of € 695,00!!! We like to thank everybody for participating this lottery, all the entrepreneurs who donated the prices. A special thanks to Roy from te COOP store.
